Wanda Fay Martin-Howard, age 80, departed this life on Thursday evening, October 10, 2019 at her residence. Born on October 11, 1938 in West Virginia to the late Frasure and Arlena Meador, she had lived in Bradley County since 1979 and was of the Church of God faith most recently attending Ooltewah Church of God. She enjoyed singing and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Roy D. Martin; brother, Dane Meador; and sister, Frieda Wilson.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Howard; children, Davonna (Doug) Parker of Cleveland, Kevin(Suzy) Martin of Deland, Florida, and Dorieta Martin of Chattanooga; sister Sandy(Russell) Sears of Glen White, West Virginia, and brother-in-law, Buddy Wilson. Five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Wanda Fay Martin will be held at 7p.m Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from the funeral home chapel with Bishop Tom Frye officiating.
A Graveside service will be held at 2p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
