Paul Stuart Cannon

Paul Stuart Cannon, 50, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, February 3, 2020 at a local health care facility. He was of the Church of God faith. Paul enjoyed bowling and golfing and coached youth basketball, baseball and football for many years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul David Cannon; sister, Peggy Sue Cannon; and grandson, Kayman Brock-Riffe.

Survivors include his wife, DeShonna Morton Cannon of Cleveland; mother, Darlene Reese Cannon of Decatur; children, Paul Stuart Cannon, Jr. and wife, Sonia and Chassity Cannon, all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Zoey Brock-Riffe, Caroline Cannon and Paul Stuart Cannon, III; sister, Dolly (Paul) Biddwell of Decatur; brothers, David (Eula) Cannon of Cleveland, James Stanfield of Dayton and Andy (Cindy) Cannon of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

The service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2020 in the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery with Chris Cannon, Kenneth Morton, Porky Davis, Doug Kazy, Andrew Cannon and Darrell Smith serving as pallbearers.

His family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
