Mary Simmons, 99, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at a local health care facility. She was born in Murfreesboro and lived the majority of her life in Bradley County. She was a charter member of Northside Presbyterian Church. She was retired from Cleveland Bank and Trust and a member of the Calico Square Dance Club. Mary was a wonderful cook and seamstress and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Simmons; parents, Mittie and Will Hall; brothers, Joe Hall Ray Hall, Carl Hall and Alton Hall and sister, Kate McKracken.
Survivors include her children, Brenda McLain of Charleston, Bobby (Patricia) Simmons of Cleveland and Susan (Neal) Killen of Loudon; grandchildren, Kelley (Mike) Massey, Mark McLain, Jamie (Jeff) Bankston, Jennifer (Richard) Rutherford, Robbie (Lindsey) Simmons, David Simmons, Angie (Mike) McCurry and Abbie (Jay) Baggett; fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews and other extended family members also survive.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2020 in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
