Lorraine Galipeau Zwinkel. Age 81, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday evening at Tennova Healthcare in Cleveland. Born in New Hampshire, she was raised in Connecticut and lived 25 years in New York and 25 years in North Carolina before moving to Cleveland in 2008. She was presently a member of St Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church and had previously been a member at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in King, North Carolina and Our Lady of Good Counsel in Mattituck, New York. Lorraine served as a foster parent in New York, was the Vice President of the Foster Parent Advisory Council in Suffolk County; was on the Human Service Advisory Committee In New York as well as the Executive Board of the Mattituck Historical Society. She also was a volunteer at the King Outreach Ministry in King, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mitchell and Lydia Galipeau; husband Erich Herman Zwinkel; and son David Zwinkel.
Survivors include her son, Erich Paul Zwinkel of Ten Mile; daughter, Barbara Anne Zwinkel Howard of Winston Salem, North Carolina; sister Patricia Galipeau Baurbeau of Wilmington, North Carolina; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 2p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018 at St Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church with Father Mike Nolan officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
