Lora Gail Taylor, age 66, of Tellico Plains, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Sweetwater Hospital. Born in Coker Creek on November 15, 1952, she was a native and lifelong resident of Monroe County and a member of Sandy Lane Baptist Church. She had a kind and giving heart and loved making jewelry and gifts to give her family and friends. She loved her animals, especially her dogs who she is running with now like she used to.
Lora is preceded in death by her mother and step-father, June and Lester West.
Survivors include her loving husband of 37 years, Greg Taylor; children, Melissa French of Savannah, Ronnie French of Savannah, and Jimmy Ray Russell, Jr. of Calhoun; father, Kenneth Dalton of Coker Creek sisters, Charlotte Miralia of Knoxville; brothers, Monty and Robert Dalton of Coker Creek; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Lora Taylor will be held at 6p.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 at Sandy Lane Baptist Church with Brother Johnny Stewart officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4-6pm. Friday at the church prior to the service.
