Lonnie Millard James

Lonnie James Jr. age 89 passed away Friday December 18, 2020 at U.T. Medical center. He spent most of his life in Ringgold, GA and Ooltewah before moving to Cleveland, Tn. Retired Paint and Bodyman in Chattanooga. Member and Treasurer of Greenwood Baptist Church where he was an ordained Deacon. He found his faith at Catoosa Tabernacle. He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, waterskiing, and fishing.

He was a kind and gentle man who loved his family dearly.

Preceded in death by Parents Lonnie and Pearl James Sr. Sisters, Patsy Hines and LaRue Horn, Grandson Michael Barthlett.

Survived by wife of 70 years Jimmie H. James of Cleveland, Daughter Mary Moore Hammer of Chattanooga and Cleveland, Shirley Fay James of Cleveland, Grandsons: Tyler Moore and Christopher Barthlett of Cleveland. Granddaughter Loniann and Shawn Farris of Cleveland Great Granddaughter, Addison Farris of Cleveland.

Several nieces and many, many friends. 

Graveside services will be held Tuesday December 22nd at 11am at Plowman Cemetery in Apison, Tn. with Steven Schild officiating.  

The family will receive friends Monday December 21, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
