Betty Lou Lewis Fields, 77, of Cleveland, previously of Knoxville, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 26, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. Betty had a strong faith in God and attended church at Bowman Hills. She was a proud mother and grandmother who was very devoted to her family. She was funny, creative, loving and she was also a gifted writer. Betty’s cards and letters were always heartfelt and beautifully expressed. To receive a card or letter from her was truly a gift. She also enjoyed the outdoors, camping and spending time with her dog.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse T. Lewis and Louise Bray; step father, Jim Bray; second husband, James Franse; step granddaughter; Victoria Paige Hemphill.
Survivors include her son, Ronny Fields (Kristin) of Puerto Rico; daughter, Tonia Fields of Cleveland; son, Ricky Fields of Riceville; sister, Rebecca Darboian - Shelby (Gary Sr.) of Knoxville; stepchildren, Jennifer Hemphill, Wendy Franse; former daughter in law, Stephanie Fields; grandchildren, Hannah Fields, Rachel Fields, Ayla Harper, Hollis Fields; nephew, Mikiel Darboian.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022 in the chapel of Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home.
Her family will receive friends 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
