Jo Ann Byrd Holt, 64, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 5, 2019 with her family by her side in Cleveland, TN.
Ms. Holt was born in Luka, MS to JC Byrd Jr. & Annie Ruth Guyton Byrd. She was a devoted volunteer for the spinal cord unit at the VA Hospital in Memphis for several years and also worked for the Paralyzed Veterans Association. In 1989, she won a “1,000 points of light” award from President George H. W. Bush.
She had a wonderful personality and always made people around her laugh and smile. You could always find her shopping, cooking, decorating or spending time with her family. She especially loved her role as Jo Jo with her granddaughters. She will long be remembered for her huge heart, flashy outfits and positive attitude.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Holt Lamb (Chris) and granddaughters Gracie & Addison Lamb.
Please join us in celebrating her life on Friday, May 10th at the First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. and service to immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
