James C Looper, 85, a well-known cabinet maker and general contractor for 40 years in Cleveland, Bradley County, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Erlanger Hospital, after a brief illness. He was a great example as a husband, father, grandfather, family member, brother in Christ, and local citizen. He served as a faithful member, elder and greeter at his local church, Restoration Fellowship Family Worship Center, and was loved and esteemed by his church family and all who knew him. The evidence and legacy of his craftsmanship is everywhere on the RFFWC church campus, as well as throughout the Greater Cleveland Bradley County Area.
He leaves behind a devoted family and church family to cherish in his memory.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Doffee-Looper; five children Greg Looper (wife Leslie), Tony Looper (deceased), Jacquie Looper- Hamby (husband Robert), Kevin Looper (wife Nichole), and Beverly Nicole Looper; eight grandchildren, Dalton, Taylor, Austin, Anthony, Conner, Blake, Kyran, Natalie; one great-grandson, Jakobi; four siblings, Doris Looper McKinney, Leona Looper Kent, (husband James), John A. Looper (wife Jean), and Garren Looper (wife Debbie); along with numerous extended family members and friends.
The Visitation and the Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, May 1, 2021 on the church campus of Restoration Fellowship Family Worship Center, located at 211 Trewitt Drive, SE. 37323. Family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m-5:00 p.m, funeral service will follow at 5:00 p.m officiated by Pastor John Looper. Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home and Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.
