Gladys Carol Keeton

Gladys Carol Stewart Keeton, 69, of Cleveland, TN passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 16, 2021.

Gladys was a fiercely loyal and loving woman who never met a stranger. She was the honorary “mom” and “mamaw” to many she knew throughout the years. She was a retired nurse, having dedicated 35 years of her life to long-term care and specialty hospice residents. She was born on April 28th, 1951 in Athens, TN, and graduated from McMinn County High School in 1969. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Jordan Stewart Sr. and Della Mae Stewart; two brothers, Lowell Thomas Stewart and wife Helen, Charles Jordan Stewart Jr. and wife Joyce; sister, Laura Mae Edwards and husband David.

She is survived by son, Randy Williams; daughter Shelly Holdren; step-daughter, Jennifer Griffin; four grandchildren, Callie Prather (Todd), Haley Holdren, Josef Holdren (Aleigha), and Spencer Williams; three great-grandaughters, Astrid Blair Prather, Averie Elise Holdren, and Alora Elaine Holdren; and two brothers, James Robert Stewart and wife Opal, Floyd Edwin Stewart and wife Deborah; and sister-in-law, Karlene, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. ~ 5:00 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home and Cremation Services, a celebration of life will follow at 5:00 p.m. The family will have a private interment.
