George Edwin McIlvain

George Edwin McIlvain, 80, passed away at his home Wednesday, July 19, 2023.  He was originally from Texas and moved to Cleveland in March of 1978. George was a veteran of the United States Navy.  He retired from the railroad, then became employed with the United States Postal Service from which he also retired. 

Preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Doris McIlvain; and sister, Theresa Jackson.

Survived by his wife of 53 years, Katherine Brown McIlvain; sisters, Gloria Raymore (David), Joyce Capps (Coy), Betty Keefer (Don); brother, Jerry McIlvain (Gloria); numerous nieces and nephews. 

A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.

Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
