Geneva Pendergrass

Geneva Smith Pendergrass, 75, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022, at her home. She was a CNA and had worked at Bradley Memorial Hospital.   She had lived in the area her entire life and was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman Pendergrass; parents, General Ross Smith, Dessie Alene Anderson Smith; three brothers, Tommy Smith, Ed Smith, William Smith; four sisters, Audry Woody, Magie Smith, Barbara Marrow, Frances Smith;

She is survived by two children, Debbie Pendergrass of Cleveland and Robert Pendergrass and wife Stephanie of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Matthew Conner, Jessica Evans (Simon), Cody Conner, Emma Pendergrass, and Amanda Shook; three step-children, Karen Burns (Gene), Tamela Brown, and Vicky Brock (Delane); several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday in Sunset Memorial Gardens Interment will follow with James “Mac” McIntosh, Joshua Godfrey, Gene Burns, Cecil Burns, Cecil Burns, Jr., and Simon Evans serving as pallbearers.
