Doris Virginia Smith

December 15, 1929 — March 26, 2020

Doris Smith age 90, of Cleveland, departed this life on Thursday morning, March 26, 2020 at her home. Born on December 15, 1929 in Blue Ridge, Georgia to the late Ross and Opal Frazier Collette, she had lived a majority of her life in Bradley County and was a longtime member of Ridgeview Baptist Church.  She enjoyed serving the Lord, traveling, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, James Kenneth Smith; son, Jimmy Smith, brother-in-law, Jack Matthews, and sister-in-law, Shirley Collette.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol(Will) Hyberger; grandchildren, Denise(Roy) Langford, Tammy (Bo) Bain, and Sammy Hyberger, sisters, Jean Matthews and Helen (Jon) Churchwell, and a brother, Earl Collette. Nine great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends also survive.

A graveside service to celebrate the life and Home going of Doris Virginia Collette Smith will be held at 2p.m.  Monday, March 30, 2020 at Moore’s Chapel Cemetery.
