David Allen Jenkins

David Jenkins, 64, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. Born in Atlanta but moved to Chattanooga early in his life, he graduated from UTC with a degree in journalism and worked for the Chattanooga Free Press for over 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Saye Jenkins.

David is survived by his father, Ray Jenkins of Chattanooga; brother, Jay Jenkins of Dublin, GA; sister Amy Jennings of Chattanooga; nephews, Justin Jennings of Florida, Jon Jennings, Ethan Jennings, both of Chattanooga.

Private family services will be held.
