Charlotte Ann Rice Murphy

Charlotte Ann Rice Murphy, 72, of Ringgold, GA and a longtime resident of Rossville, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020 at her home.  She was a member of Rossville Church of God for over 30 years.  Charlotte was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family with a special kind of love.  She loved God and lived her life with faith which we all would be blessed to do the same.  Charlotte had a caregiver’s heart and later in her life was a CNA in the healthcare field. She was known as “Granny” to so many people she came in contact with.  Charlotte will be missed, but we all know we will see her again one day.   

She was preceded in death by his parents, James Randall Rice and Ruth Ella Dillard Rice; and her husband of 52 years, Charles “Chuck” Howard Murphy, Sr.

Survivors include her children, Tammy Murphy of Ringgold, Charles “Chuck” Murphy, Jr. and wife, Rhonda of Chickamauga and Angela Murphy of Rossville; grandchildren, Tim Butler, Jr., Joshua Butler, Haley (Alex) Holloway, Justin Finley and Cheri (Davey) Daugherty; great grandchildren, Braydon Holloway, Jasper Butler, Felicity Daugherty and Jaxon Finley.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
