Chuck graduated from Johnson City (NY) High School in 1961 and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University in 1968. He furthered his education at Cornell with a Master of Science degree in 1972 and taught veterinary radiology at Purdue University from 1972 to 1974. After selling the practice in 1998, he concentrated on veterinary radiology & consultation and orthopedic surgery in the Albany, NY, area for another 20 years.
Chuck’s life passions were first, his love for God, then, his love for family, and finally, his love of the career he had chosen. He was very active at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ames, NY, where he was a member from 1974 to 2018. He was beloved in the community and passionately cherished by his family.
Chuck and Ethel moved to Cleveland, TN, late in 2016. In his retirement, Chuck’s passions remained his God and his family. He was a member of Waterville Baptist Church and enjoyed the closeness of so many family members.
A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held at Waterville Baptist Church on April 6, 2019, at 4pm. The family will have a private burial at Lee Cemetery. A celebration of his life will also be held in upstate New York at a later date.
