Brenda Kay Yarber

Brenda Kay Yarber, 60, of Cleveland passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. She loved the outdoors, enjoyed walking, painting, coloring but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor and always made everyone laugh. She was a dedicated employee at Whirlpool for 36 years.

Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Dora Jenkins; brother, Michael “Whitey” Jenkins, and granddaughter, Kimberly Dora Works.

Survivors include her two daughters, Rebecca Yarber and Amanda Works; one sister, Elizabeth Martin; four brothers, Joe Jenkins, Terry Jenkins, Delbert Jenkins and Freddie Jenkins; four grandchildren, Blake Baxter, Whitney Burger, Ryan Burger and Rowdy Works, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Mason officiating. Interment will follow in Old Ocoee Cemetery in Benton, Tennessee with Ronnie Price, Stephen Gaskins, Randy Evans, James Spangler, Scott Norwood and Gregory Sneed serving as pallbearers, and Ted Price, Mark Link, Westley Cronan and Anthony Jenkins serving as honorary pallbearers. 

Her family will receive friends on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
