Betty Irene Baumgardner

Betty Baumgardner, 89, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021. She was a devout Baptist and lifelong member of North Cleveland Baptist Church. Betty graduated with the class of 1949 from Bradley Central High School. She later became an avid quilter with Cherokee Blossom Quilt Guild, she loved her family, church and quilting.

Preceded in death by her parents, Rilla Priddy Caywood and Howard Caywood; her husband, Jim Baumgardner, and beloved son Dan Harmon.

Betty is survived by her children, David “Donna” Harmon, Susan Harmon Petty of Cleveland; three grandchildren, Katy (Kat) “Jason” Trotter of Etowah, Emily Petty Parker “Tadd”,  Olivia Petty of Signal Mountain; one great-grandchild, Colton Trotter; step-children , Jay “Julie” Baumgardner, Bonnie “Bruce” Stoloff; step-grandchildren, Ashley “Keith” Bushy, James and Sarah Stoloff.

She loved, blessed, and influenced all who knew and loved her, especially her family.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am- 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at North Cleveland Baptist Church, a Funeral service will follow at 1:00pm officiated by Dr. Jay McCluskey. The interment will be held at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted at North Cleveland Baptist Church 2815 N Ocoee St, Cleveland, TN 37312.
