Obituary: Michael Lynn Buckner, age 44, of Calhoun, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014, at his residence. A lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was known as a hard worker and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Glenda White.
He is survived by his son, Kyle Buckner of Cleveland; mother, Juanita Brown Jones and husband Mack Alan Jones, Sr. of Calhoun; brothers Jody Buckner of Calhoun, Jamie Buckner of Calhoun, and Eddie Brannon and wife Melanie of Cleveland.
Several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends also survive.
Service: A gathering of friends will be from 4-6p.m. Friday April 11, 2014 at Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Etowah.
The family requests that flowers be omitted, and memorial contributions be made to St.Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
