Obituary:  Billy Paul Campbell, age 56, of Riceville, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014, at a local hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County and was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid Tennessee fan and enjoyed farming as well as collecting and rebuilding equipment.

He was preceded in death by his father, Parley Campbell and daughter, Penny Louise Jeralds.

He is survived by his mother, Eva Sue Campbell of Athens; brothers, Tony Campbell and wife Bonnie of Athens and Scotty Dale Campbell of Athens; nieces, Felicia Campbell of Athens and Candace Briggs of Athens; nephews, Jacob , Bryson, and Joel Stough of Athens; mother of Penny, Vicki Jeralds of Englewood; special friends, Kenneth Cate of Athens, Arnold and Kathy Cate of Athens, Jim and Sandy Cate of Athens, Jerry and Kathy Johnston of Riceville and their children, Nancy Jones and husband Dale , Pamela Niles, Sherman Johnston and wife Kim, and Karen and John Franks; a special neighbor and caregiver, Mary Bowen and husband Marty. Several other extended family members and friends also survive.

Service: Graveside services will be held 11a.m. Friday, March 28 from Sullins Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Leamon officiating and with Jacob Stough, Benjamin Stough, Sherman Johnston, Christopher Cate, Tyler Morris, and Jerry Johnston serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
