Obituary: Nancy Ann Marie Savich Hooper, 54, of Madisonville, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was born in Chicago and relocated with her husband to Monroe County in 1989. She was of the Catholic faith. She had a servant’s heart for people and especially children. She was an avid giver to the Veterans, homeless and the ASPCA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Dean Hooper in 2009 and her life partner Gary Brown in 2010.
She is survived by two daughters, Michelle Hooper of Madisonville and Monica Colon of Florida; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sister, Andrea Miller and husband, Mark of Chicago, IL and best friend, Robert Jaynes of Florida; sisters-in-law, Joyce Shafer of Sweetwater, Carolyn Bivens of Tellico Plains, Billie Marshall of Loudon and Betty Delagarza of Indiana; brothers-in-law, Tony Hooper of Tellico Plains, Zack Hooper and wife, Irene of Indiana and Don Hooper and wife Sue of Philadelphia. Several nieces, nephews and extended family also survive.
Service: A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
