Obituary: DEBRA L. “Debby” HOLT, age 54, of Etowah, passed away Saturday morning, December 14, 2013, at her residence following a brief illness. She was born September 3, 1957, in Danville, Illinois. She moved to Etowah from Florida and lived here most of her life. Debby was an electrician, she loved to travel, ride horses, and spend time with her family, especially with her nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Doc Holt and Joann Mitchell Holt- Snyder; maternal grandparents, Stanley “Duck” and Anne Marie Black Mitchell, and her paternal grandparents, Lilburn and Lily Holt.
She is survived by her life partner, Wendell Smith, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Kim Holt and Patty Taylor and husband Johnny ; a special nephew, Blake Snyder and family; and a special niece Joni Marie Martin and family all of Etowah. Many extended family members and close friends also survive.
Service: A graveside service will be held 11A.M, Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Tellico Plains with Reverend Jeff Blanchette officiating .There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
