Obituary: BUNNIE ALDRIDGE BURGER, age 96, of Etowah, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at a local healthcare facility. The daughter of the late Zeb Vance and Ada Ereta McConkey Aldridge, she was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County. Bunnie was a longtime member of the Etowah Church of Christ and was known for her fried apple pies. She loved keeping a garden, had a heart for others, and was a kind spirited lady.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hendrix Burger; son, Doug Burger; sisters, Ethel Tillman, Myrtle Hipps, Leva Dixon, Reva Sue Aldridge; brothers, Raymond Aldridge, Ray Aldridge.
She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Rodgers of Oliver Springs; niece, Jennifer Sylvester, and a host of other extended family members and friends.
Service: A Graveside service will be held Friday, January 10, 2014, at Green Hill Cemetery with Dr. Shane Arnold officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
