Obituary: LARRY DON DISSPAIN, age 66, of Riceville, passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at his residence. The son of the late Leonard and Anna Lou Whitener Disspain , Larry was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Larry served his country during The Vietnam Conflict as a veteran of the Marine Corps. He was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church and was retired from Bowater after 30 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Margaret Fain; son, Travis Lee Disspain; father-in-law, Edgar Lee Fain, and brother-in-law, Ronnie Fain.
He is survived by his son, Todd Disspain of Riceville; sister, Mary Ann Evans and husband Boyd; brothers ,Scott Disspain and wife Sandra Jane, Jarrell Disspain and wife Sandy all of Etowah; mother-in-law., Ollie M. Fain; sisters-in-laws, Belinda Cavett and husband Terry of Cleveland, and Pam Parker and husband Ray of Athens. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and good friends also survive.
Service: A graveside service will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Fain Cemetery on Manila Chapel Rd in Englewood, TN with military honors . There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
