Obituary: PATRICIA ANNE COX, age 57 of Etowah, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 15, 2013 at her residence after a lengthy illness. A native of Athens , TN she was raised in Polk County until the age of 14 and has spent most of her life in Etowah , TN and attended First Baptist Church of Etowah. She was a loving wife, mother, and nana. She was much loved and will be missed greatly. She loved to shop and decorate and her passions were shoes and clothing. During Anne’s lifetime she was crowned Jr. Miss Polk County and was crowned Miss Polk County at the age of 17. GOD graced her with a beautiful radiating smile.

She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Jerry Wayne Cox; daughter , Jeri Anne Coleman and husband Dennis of Englewood; son Jason Cox of Etowah; two granddaughters, Samantha and Bella Grace Coleman of Englewood and parents, Spence and Rose Norwood of Etowah.

Service: Funeral services will be conducted at 8P.M. Monday, November 18, 2013 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Minister Loius Rouse officiating. The family will assemble at the funeral home at 12:30 PM. on Tuesday for a procession to Green Hill Cemetery for the 1:00 P.M. committal service with Dennis Coleman, Wesley Johnson, Tim Cox, Daril Smith, Steve Norwood, Tony Garnett, Chris James, and Gary “ Punk” Dalton serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services.

The family will receive friends from 5- 8P.M. prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home
