Obituary: Barry Tischhauser, age 61, of Athens, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013, at his residence. A native of Virgil, Illinois, he was the son of the late Norman and Joyce VanStone Tischhauser. He has lived in McMinn County the past 35 years, working for Robinson Enterprises for over 15 years. He enjoyed fishing, playing with his grandchildren, was a Harley Davidson fanatic, and attended Christ Community Church.

He was preceded I death by his brother-in-law, Keith Carlson.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Donna Clayton Tischhauser of Athens; daughters, Elizabeth Boesen and husband Mark of Woodstock , Illinois and Amanda Walker and special friend Brandon Smith of Athens; grandchildren, Nathan Walker, Aaron Boesen, and Savannah Smith; sister Ena Carlson of Dekalb , Illinois; brothers, Dennis Tischhauser of Virgil Illinois, Robin Tischhauser of Minnesota, David Tischhauser and wife Judy of Sycamore Illinois, and Greg Tischhauser and wife Carla of Las Vegas , Nevada. Special friends, Richard “ Nutty” McNutt and Ray Revis, and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.

Service: A celebration of Barry’s Life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Christ Community Church with the Reverend Carlos Peterson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3 P.M., Saturday at the church prior to the service.
