Obituary: Daniel W. Merrell, age 52, of Greasy Creek went home to be with the Lord July 28, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his dad, J. C. Merrell.
He is survived by his mother, Nellene Bates Merrell; brothers, Clifford and wife, Waynette Merrell of Greasy Creek, Jeffery Merrell and wife, Cynthia of Tellico Plains; sister, Letitia and husband Wayne White of Etowah, TN.; nieces and nephews, Jessica and Yancy Carringer, Zackary Merrell, Brandon White and Alyssa Merrell. Several aunts and uncles also survive.
Service: The service will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home of Etowah.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. prior to the service.
Graveside service will be Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m at the New Fairview Cemetery in Greasy Creek. Pallbearers will be Greg Burgess, Greg Merrell, Joe Coblentz, Donald Wilcox, Johnny Wilcox, Mitchell Dalton and Chuck Burgess
