Obituary: Paul Berton Baker, Jr., a resident of Niota, passed away June 30, 2013 in a Sweetwater Hospital. He was a member of Watts Bar Church of God in Ten Mile. Mr. Baker loved his family with all of his heart and enjoyed every minute he spent with them.
Paul was the son to the late Mr. Paul Berton Baker, Sr., and Ms. Emma Dean Carper Baker.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Sharon Lee Baker of Niota; six children: Brian Baker of Niota, Bobby Baker and wife Anita of Athens, Brent Baker and wife Rhonda of Sweetwater, Billy Baker of Athens, Brad Baker and wife Melanie of Ten Mile, and Bruce Baker of Niota; twelve grandchildren: Ryan Baker, Shawn Baker, Moriah Baker, Christian Baker, Reagan Baker, Faith Hickey, Nicholas Baker, Jacob Baker, Harley Baker, Christopher Baker, Summer-Rain Baker, and Brandon Baker; two sisters: Theresa Whitmire and husband David of Decatur and Shelley Baker Morgan of Athens. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Service: The family will hold a private Celebration of Life service to honor Paul’s life.
