Obituary: Joe Danny Hicks, age 64, of Reliance passed away Saturday, May 18,2013 at his residence from a long battle with cancer. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Gladys Biggs Hicks and a brother, Gary Don Hicks.
Joe is survived by his wife of 37 years, Betty Hicks of Reliance, sons, Joey Hicks and wife Victoria of Athens , Danny Hicks, Shawn Hicks , Tim Hicks and wife Sidney and stepson Kenny McDowell all of Reliance; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Sam and Jerry Crabtree and Bill and Debbie Rowland all of Riceville; grandchildren, Joseph Hicks, Matthew Hicks, Javoni Hicks, Makayla McDowell, Cheyenne Willis, and Danny Joe Hicks,Jr.
Service: A memorial service will be conducted 7pm Thursday, May 23, 2013 with Reverend Benny Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Thursday at the funeral home.
