Obituary: Billy Harold Buckner, age 48, a resident of Englewood, passed away Wednesday May 8, 2013 at his residence. A lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a graduate of McMinn Central High School and most recently employed with Purty Trucking. He was a member of Conasauga Baptist Church and was a loving son, brother, and grandson and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Myers Buckner; paternal grandparents, Emma and Henry Buckner; maternal grandfather, Edward Buckner; and nephew Timothy Blake Buckner.
He is survived by his father, Harold Buckner; brother Timothy Buckner and wife Michelle; grandmother Dolly Myers; great nephew Austin Buckner all of Englewood; and special nephew Jordon Buckner of Florida. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
Service: Funeral services will be conducted 7p.m. Friday, May 10, 2013 from the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Reverend Ronnie Bestofficiating . Internment will be 11a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Tellico Plains.
The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
