Obituary: Edna Mae Jack Harris, age 90, passed away Sunday May 5, 2013 at Woods Memorial Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County and a founding member of Gateway Church of Christ. Her passions in life were her family, flowers, and her faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Maggie Brock Jack; husband Earl Harris; granddaughter Angela Smith; sisters Irene Hayes, Mary Sue Roderick; brothers Ora Jack, Cantrell Jack, infant brothers Curtis and Taylor Jack.
She is survived by her daughter Brenda Melton and Husband Darrel of Etowah; son Larry Smith and wife Carolyn of Athens; grandchildren, Cindy Smith Dailey, Brandon Melton and wife Stacey, Jason Smith all of Etowah; great grandchildren, Connor Dailey, William Melton, and Phillip Melton all of Etowah; sisters Lucille Daughtery of Etowah and Marjorie Martin and husband Ross of Knoxville. Several beloved nieces, nephews, and many dear friends also survive.
Service: Funeral Services will be conducted 2 P.M. Tuesday, May 7, 2013 in the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with minister Bill Corn and Bob Cantley officiating. Internment will follow in the Conausaga Cemetery with Connor Dailey, Tim Martin, Mark Martin, Danny Lewellyn, Mitchell Hensley, and John Solsbee serving as pallbearers. A white dove ceremony will conclude the services.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11-2 P.M. at the funeral home.
