Obituary: Joyce Ann Self, age 54, a resident of Etowah, passed away Saturday March 9, 2013 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Berlin Self; son, Daniel Self; brothers, Billy Self and James Self, and a sister Marie Self.
She is survived by her mother Mary Nell Mason Self; daughters, Brandy Pigott and husband Rouse of Crawfordville Florida , and Christal Alloway of Rockold, KY; sons Charles " Butterball " Stevenson of Etowah and Mikey Roberts of Dalton GA; grandchildren Chase Self , Corey Self, Jonathan Mansfield, Jason Pack, Cheyenne Pigott, Justin Stevenson, Victoria Stevenon, Anthony Stevenson, James Stephens, Pressley Stephens, Mikey Roberts, Kasara Roberts, and Jacob Roberts; sisters Patricia Self of Athens, Shirley Eaton of Athens, Linda Howard of Riceville, and Julie Croft of Crossville; brothers Jerry Self of Loudon, Charles Self of Chattanooga, TN and Berlin "B.B." Self, Jr., and wife Betty of Dunlap. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Service: Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday March 12, 2013 at 1P.M. from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Reverend Finton McKay officiating. Internment will follow in the Conasauga Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday March 12,2013at the funeral home.
