Obituary: Marty Vincent Newberry, age 61, of Etowah, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at his residence. The son of the late Mark and Wilma Webb Newberry, he was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County and attended New Bethel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his siblings, Cecelia Susan Newberry Moffat and husband Charles of Etowah, Michael Newberry and wife Nancy of Etowah, and Cynthia Newberry Aldridge of Decatur; nieces, Holly Carolee Sewell of Etowah and Sarah Price of Decatur; great-nephews, Charles Christian Sewell of Etowah, Joshua Price of Decatur, and Jacob Price of Decatur; and great-niece, Jade Price of Decatur. A host of other relatives and family friends also survive.
The family will like to extend a special appreciation to Marty’s sister-in-law, Nancy, for her devoted and compassionate care.
Service: A graveside service will be held at 11a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother Whiting Delk officiating.
There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
