Obituary:  Columbus Richard Lowe, age 70, of Cleveland, departed this life on Sunday evening, April 19, 2015, at his residence. He was of the Church of GOD faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Mandy Foster Lowe; sisters, Carol Ann Lowe, and Jean Sullivan; brothers, Jack Lowe, Johnny Lowe, Ray Lowe, Bobby Lowe, and George Lowe.

Survivors include children, Richard Lynn Lowe and wife Tammy of Mississippi, Thomas Lowe, James Lowe and Angela Valencia and husband Fidel of Athens; their mother, Dessie Marie Moses; grandchildren, PFC Fidel, Isaac, and Nelson Valencia, Preston Leach, Memory Medlin, Randy Medlin, Joshua Medlin, and Katelyn Lowe; sisters, Polly McBartha of Etowah, Alta Lowe of Cleveland, Dovie Kilgore of Chatsworth GA; brother, Jerry Lowe of Etowah; sisters-in-law, Brenda Lowe of Etowah and Faye Lowe of Englewood. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends also survive.

Service: Funeral services will be conducted at 3p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015, from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in the Mars Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with Fidel Valencia, Jr., Adam Kilgore, Tony Williams, Robbie Lowe, Ricky Lowe, and Allen Lowe serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 1-3p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the family to help defray the cost of medical and final expenses.
