Obituary: Adam McFall, age 51, of Athens, crossed over the river on Monday, April 6, 2015, and is resting beneath the shade of the trees. The son of the late Wade and Shirley McClure McFall, he was born in Sevier County and had spent the last 10 years in McMinn County. He was of the Methodist faith. He enjoyed flea marketing, trading knives with friends, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his fiancée, Karla Masengil of Athens; was a fatherly figure to her daughters, Carrie and Rodney Steffa of Sweetwater and Cassie Kile and husband Chris of Decatur; was like a grandpa to Mayleigh, Karleigh, Lonna, Ayden, and Rylee; also surviving are sisters, Helen McFall, Lara McFall, and Lisa Slauson of Wear’s Valley; and best friend, Roger Yarber of Athens. Several other extended family members and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Hatcher officiating.

Family and friends will assemble at 1p.m. Friday, April 10, 2015 at the funeral home and proceed to Cedar Grove Cemetery for the 2p.m. Committal service.
The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
