Obituary: Larry A. Rowe, Sr, age 66, of Etowah, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015, at his residence. The son of the late Robert and Hazel Parton Rowe, he was born in Indiana and spent the last 15 plus years in McMinn County. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed going to flea markets and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jeanette and Doris Faye; and grandson, Shane Tessier.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Michelle Burns Rowe of Etowah; children, Karen Roper of Etowah, Michael Rowe of Muncie , IN, Larry Rowe, Jr. of Hamilton, IN, Christopher Rowe of Muncie, IN, Lynn Morton of Athens, and Dewayne Mullenix of Muncie, IN; and a special niece April Johnson of Ten Mile. Twenty grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends also survive.
Service: Memorial services will be held at 4p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015, in the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3-4p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
