Obituary: Mark Baucom , age 49, of Madisonville, passed away Monday, January 12,2015, at a local hospital. A native of Gastonia North Carolina, he had spent the last 3 years in Monroe County. He enjoyed motorcycles, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed traveling to the Florida Keys and attended the Monroe Christian Center.
He is survived by his wife Tonia Courson of Madisonville; daughters, Catherine “ Kayti” Baucom of Boca Raton , Florida and Heather Baucom of Lowell, North Carolina; step-daughter, Madison Parton of Sweetwater; step-son, Taylor Parton of Belmont, North Carolina; grandson, Colby Baucom; sister, Judith Matthews of Cherryville, North Carolina; and brother, Mike Baucom of Gastonia, North Carolina. Several other extended family members and friends also survive.
Service: Private family services will be held at a later date.
