Obituary: Kenard Thomas McEachin, Jr., age 74, of Orlando, Florida passed away November 9, 2014 at the home of his daughter in Athens, TN. He was a native and lifelong resident of Florida and attended Orlando Chinese Church. Mr. McEachin was retired from the State of Florida Department of Corrections.
He was preceded in death by his parents Kenard Thomas McEachin, Sr. and Alice Elizabeth Martin McEachin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Yan Qin Fan McEachin; 3 adoring daughters, Loy (Robert) Watson and Linda (Andy) Crowder, of Athens, and Yuan Liu, of Orlando; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; two brothers, Victor (Nellie) McEachin, of Fort Lauderdale, and Allen McEachin, of Cooper City, FL. Several other extended family members and friends also survive.
Service: A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Athens with The Reverend Hendree Harrison officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:00 at the church. A memorial service will also be held at the Orlando Chinese Church at a later date. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Orlando Chinese Church, or Amedysis Hospice.
