Obituary: Eva Jane Grant, age 61, of Decatur, passed away November 2, 2014. She was a native and lifelong resident of Monroe County. She was a member of Rogers Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed watching westerns, coloring, and being around family and friends.
Ms. Grant was preceded in death by her parents, John Hardin Grant and Mary Belle Holder Grant; brothers, Cidric Grant, Johnny Grant, Melvin Grant, and David Grant; sister, Susie Grant.
She is survived by two brothers, Joseph Grant (wife Risa) and Daniel Grant (wife Linda), all of Decatur; special nieces, Susie Margaret Grant and Mary Grant, both of Sweetwater, and Patience Grant of Tellico Plains; special nephews, Bryan Winkler and Dylan Grant, both of Decatur, and Ray Britton, of Sweetwater. Several other family and friends also survive.
Service: A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Rogers Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Myers officiating.
A special thanks to Tiffany and Rachel Wells, along with sister-in-laws Janet Ley and Cyndi Berry, for all of their compassionate love and caring. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray the cost of medical and final expenses.
