Obituary: Donna Marie Morgan Green, age 47, of Athens, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at her home. A native of Cleveland, TN, she has spent the last 10 years in McMinn County. She enjoyed cooking, playing the keyboard, and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Lion and Lamb Fellowship in Decatur where she served as Director of the Women’s Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her father, J.P. Morgan; brothers, John Paul Morgan and little J.P. Morgan, and a sister, Charlotte Morgan McLawhorn.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Green of Athens; mother, Carolyn Morgan of Athens; children, Michael Green of Knoxville and Kristen Green Sears and husband Chad of Lenoir City; granddaughter, Angela Sears; siblings, Ricky Morgan and fiancée Kerstin Emory of Benton, Jeanette Morgan McAllister and husband Edward of Franklin, Virginia, Alta Sue Morgan of Kissimmee, FL , and Lamar Morgan and wife Doretta of Cleveland. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends also survive.
Service: Funeral services will be conducted at 1p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Slater officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12-1p.m. Saturday at the funeral home
