Obituary: Wanda Lee Womac, age 73, of Etowah, passed away Monday evening , September 15, 2014 at her home. A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Robinson and a brother, Freddie Malone.

She is survived by her children, Delisa Brooks of Etowah, Cecil “ Julio” Johnson of Niota, Dennis Ray Johnson, Sr. and wife Diane of Etowah, and Toni West and fiancée Kevin Woody of Etowah; grandchildren, Tina Thomas and husband Steve of Athens, Dennis Ray Johnson, Jr. and wife Katie of Etowah, Justin West and fiancée Samantha Fairbanks of Athens, Khara Bradford and fiancée Drew Saffels of Etowah, Jakelin West of Etowah, and Derrick Nelson and wife April of Englewood; great-grandchildren, Brandon McMahan, McKenzie Hill, Kylie Johnson, Hayden Smith, Kathan West and Chance West; siblings, Gene Burke of Athens, Delores Mahoney and husband Robert of Athens, Darlene Simpson and husband Mack of Etowah, Donna Devine and husband Leon of Etowah, Debbie Conseler of Etowah, Allen Robinson of Decatur, and Sammie Swanks of Ten Mile; special friends, Rita Martin of Etowah and Jeanette West of Madisonville. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends also survive.

Service: A Celebration of Wanda’s Life will be held 3p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Church on the Rock with Rev. Leon Devine and Rev. Mack Simpson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3p.m. on Sunday at the church.
