Obituary: Larry “TreeTop” Freeman, age 53, of Riceville, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014, at a Chattanooga Hospital. Born in Schweinfurt, Germany, he had lived in McMinn County the past 10 years and was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid NASCAR fan , enjoyed working on his 1967 Ford Fairlane , and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his life partner, Joyce Grady of Riceville; sons, J.D.Wolf of Okeechobee,FL, Wendell Wolf of Etowah, Lorenz Freeman and Freddie Freeman both of Monroe County; parents, James and Hanne Lore Freeman of Etowah; sister, Cheryl Freeman of Etowah; nieces, Kately Yates, Hanna Colon, and Courtney Colon all of Etowah; and special friends, Mike Cross, Charles Burris, Seth Scott and Sam Goins. Several other extended family members and friends also survive.
Service: The family will receive friends from 5-8p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Serenity Funeral Home. Service and Interment will be private.
