Obituary: Dennis James Bernard, age 53, of Maryville, and formerly of Etowah, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 at a Maryville hospital. He was born in Portsmouth, VA, and had spent the last 10 years in McMinn and Blount counties. He will be remembered for his incredible sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Pace Bernard.
He is survived by his lifetime partner of 25 years, Linda Michelson of Maryville; father, John “Butch” Bernard of Tellico Plains; brother, Tony Bernard and wife Lori of Etowah; and niece and nephews, Tiffany, Jacob, and Jackson Bernard.
Service: A gathering of friends and family will be held from 5-7p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the funeral home.
