Obituary: Jimmie Tindle, age 55, of Etowah, passed away suddenly Friday , April 25, 2014, in Kentucky. Born in Flagstaff, AZ he spent the last 12 years in McMinn County. He spent the last 29 years working on the river, most recently as a chief engineer with Hunter Marine. He enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family. He never met a stranger and had a servant’s heart for others. He was a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church in Cleveland.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patty Baynes Tindle and brother, Thomas Riley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Donna Lancaster Tindle of Etowah; children, Erika Joy Gould and husband Jonathon of San Angelo , TX, Amanda Gayle Flory of Greenville , SC., Christopher Lloyd Tindle and fiancée Erin Norman of Cleveland , TN, Sandra and Willie Kimball of Bascom , FL, Shai and Cody of Lubbock, TX; father, Cecil Eugene Tindle of Cleveland ,MS, siblings, Janice Tindle Fullen and husband Bruce of Cleveland , MS, Cecil Alan Tindle and wife Raanne of Cleveland , MS, Steven lee Tindle of Shelby, MS, Sharon Tindle Aguzzi and husband John of Cleveland, MS, and James Allen Tindle and wife Debbie of Cleveland , OH; grandchildren, Arwen, Nicholas, Isabel, Dakota, Patrtick, Jayla, Lilly, and Abbygayle; brother-in-law, Michael Lancaster; mother-in-law, Nancy Lancaster Campbell of Charleston, TN; niece, Amber Lashae Lancaster; nephew, Michael Lancaster, Jr.; Goddaughter, Katy Bug Angel; and close friends, Michael Bain and Ralph Frank and his beloved dog and fishin partner Freckles . Several other extended family members and friends also survive.
Service: A celebration of Jimmie’s life will be conducted at 7p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014, from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Brother Vince Norman officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m. at the funeral home.
