Charles Edward Belcher

Charles Edward Belcher, age 69 of Madisonville, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 at his residence. Born in Monroe County, he had lived several years in Dalton, Georgia before returning to Madisonville nine years ago. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith. His passions in life revolved around spending time with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Susan Belcher; brothers, Junior Belcher, Marcus Belcher, and Ralph Belcher; and sister, Ida Mae Torbett. He is survived by children, Eddie Belcher and wife Christy of Madisonville, and Polly Anderson and husband Kim of Canada; grandchildren, Brittany Belcher, Justin Belcher, Derek Griffin , and Gary Griffin, Jr. ,and brother-in-law, Tony Strickland. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive. The family will hold a private service at a later date.
