John Curn Davis

John Curn (JC) Davis age 84,of Calhoun, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 27, 2015 at Hospice of Chattanooga. He was the son of the late Charlie and Gussie Davis. He was of the Church of God faith. He was a lifelong resident of Polk and McMinn counties. He was employed with Combustion Engineering until he retired in 1984. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, J.C. was preceded in death by his sister, Eunice Clark. Survivors include wife, Sue Davis; one son Randy Davis and wife Katie of Benton; two granddaughters, Mandy Bentley and husband Russell of Cleveland, Georgia, and Kara Ingram of Calhoun; two great grandchildren Jon and Hayley Ingram; additionally he is survived by one brother, Boyd Davis and wife Mary of Calhoun, along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday October 29, 2015 from 12-2pm at Serenity Funeral Home in Etowah. This will be followed by a chapel service at 2pm.
