David Maloney, age 60, of Etowah, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015, at Tennova Healthcare in Cleveland. Born July 16, 1955 in Kentucky, to the late Eugene and Zola Gross Maloney, He had lived the past twenty-five plus years in McMinn County. David was an avid fisherman, all around handyman, and enjoyed hunting and spending time with family and friends. He was of the Christian Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Maloney.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Joyce Baker Maloney; sons, Mike Long and wife Jody of Etowah, Steven Long and wife Laurie of Etowah; grandchildren, Christopher Long, Hunter Long, Corey Long, and Elaina Long; siblings, Margaret McKnight and husband Hubert of Ohio, Don Maloney of Calhoun, Pete Back of South Carolina, and Joan Shelton of Ohio. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends also survive.
A Celebration of David’s Life will be held at 7:30 pm, Friday, November 27, 2015 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with his nephew Donnie Maloney officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
