Bobbie Ruth Williams Coe

Bobbie Ruth Williams Coe of Etowah, age 88, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 in a Maryville hospital. She was born in McMinn County on October 12, 1927, to the late Robert Bryson and Frona Harris Williams.   She was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and was of the Baptist faith.

Bobbie never met a stranger. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Willie Denton (W.D.) Coe, and one son Tony Lynn Coe. One brother, A.O. Williams and one sister, Lula Steward.

She is survived by two daughters, Midge Jarvis and husband Ken of Friendsville, TN, and Melba Cherry and special friend, Larry Duke of Etowah; nine grandchildren, Todd Loveday and Kristi of Englewood, Travis Loveday and Lori of Cleveland, Kenny Jarvis and Shanda of Maryville, Misty Loveday Wall and Steve of Etowah, Nathan Coe and Hope of Etowah, Jake Cranfield and fiancée Jessica Pistola of Athens, Will Coe of Athens and Hannah Coe of Athens; eleven great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

A celebration of Bobbie’s life will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday December 20, 2015 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Reverend Eddie Rowland and Reverend Todd Loveday officiating.

Family and friends will assemble at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 21 at Green Hill Cemetery for the committal service. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
