Polly Leah Lowe McBath, age 77, of Etowah, passed away Tuesday morning, January 19, 2016, at a local healthcare facility. Born in Kentucky on April 22, 1938, to the late Elbert and Mandy Foster Lowe, she had spent the majority of her life in McMinn County and was of the Church of GOD faith. She loved to fish, enjoyed cooking and was devoted to her family as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Casteel; step-daughter, Vivian Casteel; and siblings, Richard, Carol, George, Bobby, Jack, Ray and Johnny Lowe and Jean Sullivan.
Polly is survived by her children, Randy Casteel and wife Starla of Benton, Tony Casteel Williams and wife Michelle of Woodbine, GA, and Gennia Brady and husband David of Etowah; step-daughters, Sherry Pesch and husband Fred of Sturgeon Bay, WI and Denise Casteel of Janesville, WI; sisters, Alta Lowe of Etowah and Dovie Kilgore of Chatsworth, GA; brother, Jerry Lowe of Etowah; and sisters-in-law, Faye Lowe of Englewood and Brenda Lowe of Etowah. Sixteen grandchildren, twenty-five great- grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.
A gathering of friends and family to celebrate the life and home going of Polly McBath will be held from 5-8p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from Serenity Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
