Kenneth Williams

Kenneth Williams, age 88, of Etowah, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at Willow Acres. The son of the late Will and Mary Dicy Wilson Williams, he was born June 10, 1927 and was a lifelong resident of McMinn County. Kenneth was a nationally recognized and well known bird dog trainer and owned and operated Williams Kennels for over 33 years. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a longtime member of New Zion Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Harold Kenneth Williams, Sr; grandchildren, Harold Kenneth Williams, Jr, Steve Hodgins, and Whitney Jaynes.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lula Jones Williams of Etowah; daughters, Alicia Hoffman of Etowah, Jama Walker and husband Bill of Madisonville, Pam Jaynes and husband Rodney of Ten Mile, Patty Johnson of Etowah; sons, Steve Williams and wife Sonja of Etowah, Robb Williams and wife Lisa of Hoschton, GA; and sister, Jessie Gunter of Athens. Seventeen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016, from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Rev. Robbie Hatcher and Rev. Jimmy Jackson officiating.

Family and friends will assemble at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the funeral home and proceed to New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery for the 11a.m. committal service.

The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
